Big Gay Book Club and Big Gay Film Club – Thematic clubs on LGBTI literature and cinema

The GLAS Foundation organizes and curates two interest-based clubs that gather LGBTI literary and cinema enthusiasts once a month. The members of Big Gay Book Club, which started in late 2017, gather at the start of each month in Sofia and Varna. The focus is on LGBTI literature, but the club is also open to any other kinds of books. The members of the Film Club, which started at the end of July 2018, get together during the final week of each month. The club emphasizes on the different types and genres of queer cinema, while paying close attention, not only to the recent productions, but to the prominent queer films from the creation of cinema to present day. Each screening is followed by a discussion on the film with the attending audience.
