RainbowUP: First meeting
RainbowUP: First meeting
At the end of January, the first meeting was held for the participating organizations in the RainbowUP: Fostering the Inclusion of LGBTQI+ Youth project, which officially started on December 1, 2024, under the Erasmus+ program. The meeting took place in Valencia, hosted by the project coordinators – Asociacion UNO (Spain, Valencia).
The international project has a long-term implementation period running until mid-2027, funded by the Spanish National Agency. Its main goal is to promote the inclusion of LGBTQI+ youth through innovative digital and educational tools while empowering youth workers and specialists working with young people.
GLAS Foundation is participating as a key partner, contributing its expertise in working with the LGBTQI+ community alongside several other partner organizations: Centro Machiavelli (Italy), CEPISS (Italy), SCI Austria (Austria), IGMS (Cyprus).
The RainbowUP Project will achieve its goals through several phases:
- Conducting research on methodologies for supporting LGBTQI+ youth.
- Analyzing and processing data to create an educational guide for youth workers.
- Training and empowering specialists to provide better support for LGBTQI+ youth.
- Developing a mobile information app and distributing it among young people across Europe.
The project aims to foster greater inclusivity and support for LGBTQI+ youth, ensuring they have access to the resources and guidance they need to thrive.
