Training on how to build an inclusive work environment for HR managers and leaders

The business platform Work It OUT, created by the GLAS Foundation, organized its first practical training ‘Building a diverse and inclusive corporate work environment’ in partnership with the Bulgarian Donors Forum, the Women Professionals’ Network – Sofia and the HR company JobTiger. The training, targeted at HR managers from different companies and responsible leaders, focused on the principles of building a supportive work environment for employees with unconventional sexual orientation and/or gender identity.

A special guest lecturer of the initiative was Marijn Pijnenburg, IBM’s Global Director ‘Business Development for the Diversity of the Workforce and the LGBT markets’. According to him, employees can be really useful to the business only if they feel free and authentic at work. Dimitrina Vasileva, D&I Director for Central and Southeastern Asia in EY Bulgaria, was also a speaker in the training.
