Transcending Barriers

Transcending Barriers: Promoting Trans Inclusion in the Workplace is a two-year (February 2025 – January 2027) European initiative dedicated to fostering safer, more inclusive work environments for trans individuals. By equipping HR professionals with diversity management skills, supporting trans people through mentoring programs, and raising awareness across sectors, the project aims to challenge workplace discrimination and promote LGBTIQ+ equality.

The project brings together a diverse and experienced consortium of partners from across Europe:

• GLAS Foundation (Bulgaria) – project communication lead and LGBTI advocacy NGO
• Università degli Studi di Brescia (Italy) – project coordinator and expert in legal and social research
• University of Girona (Spain) – lead on analytical activities and curriculum development
• ADL Zavidovici (Italy) – coordinator of training activities and support for vulnerable groups
• Human Age Institute (Italy) – lead of the TransMentor program and employment support
• LGL – National LGBT Rights Organization (Lithuania) – partner in awareness-raising and advocacy
• Vytautas Magnus University (Lithuania) – academic partner supporting inclusion research
• ALDA – European Association for Local Democracy (International) – host of the final EU-level conference and policy engagement
•  and UNITELMA Sapienza (Italy) as Associated Partner

Together, these partners are committed to building a more inclusive Europe by promoting trans inclusion in employment, fostering institutional change, and empowering individuals.
