U:N*I·Q.U-E

U:N*I·Q.U-E aims to support academic attainment of people identifying as LGBTQIA+ by raising the awareness of VET and Adult educators of gender and sexual orientation issues, creating personalized learning pathways for the educators and supporting inclusive policies within training institutions through Diversity trainers and Ambassadors. VET and Adult education institutions will be enabled to support their learners, educators and administration staff, as the methodology gets promoted widely.

The objective of UNIQUE is to “Enable transformation and change through trained educators of adults and inclusive learning environments by developing an innovative methodology and Diversity Trainers’/Ambassadors’ resources to identify the challenges faced by people identifying as LGBTQIA+ in order to facilitate their academic inclusion and support.”

U:N*I·Q.U-E will have created an interactive Awareness tool on LGBTQIA+ issues for VET and Adult educators, which then directs them to personalized learning pathways to become Diversity Trainers. To enhance inclusion policies in training institutions a Diversity Ambassador’s Toolkit will contain practical tools for communication, training delivery and organization policies. As a result of trials and a wide promotion, more LGBTQIA+ learners will be supported by the VET and Adult education system.
